What to Expect:
Church can be an intimidating place to visit – especially if you don’t know what to expect! We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at our Sunday worship service. You will find our gathering to be a warm and friendly environment with people just like you. We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love, and joy that comes from a community of people who love Jesus.
What to Wear:
At Christian Bible you will find people dressed in jeans and t-shirts; suits and dresses; and everything in between. We are not coming together to impress with dress, but to worship Jesus and bask in the glory of God.
Teaching:
We believe that practical, relevant teaching is the catalyst for transformation in an individual’s life. Scripture is inspired by God, completely accurate and our authority regarding Christian beliefs and the guide for Christian living.
We value Scripture – the Bible – as the basis for understanding who God is and how to orient our lives fully around Him. You can expect that each Sunday morning will focus on the expositional teaching of the Scriptures (that means that we take time to expose the meaning of the text and apply it to life).
Music:
At Christian Bible Church, we believe that music is an essential part of worshipping God. Worship means learning to recognize God’s goodness while delighting to deepen our responses. It means purposing together, as individuals and as a community, to unite our actions, intentions, and emotions in loving response to God. It means transforming the ways we think so that what we do and who we are become one – in, for, through, and to the Father, Son, and Spirit. Music gives us a unique opportunity to do just that. You will find a blend of old hymns, familiar choruses and contemporary songs here at CBC. Our goal is to worship through music that moves the soul with theologically sound lyrics.
